The Railroad Commission of Texas, recognized as a worldwide leader in the regulation of oil and gas exploration, seeks a Technical Coordinator in the Field Operations - Site Remediation Section of the Oil and Gas Division in Austin, TX. The State Managed Cleanup Program (SMCU) Technical Coordinator determines the assessment and cleanup needs for abandoned oil field sites and serves as the Austin contact for designated District Office cleanup activities. The Technical Coordinator will use knowledge and experience in environmental assessment, hydrogeology, waste management practices, oil and gas regulation, as well as regulatory cleanup requirements to protect human health and the environment.
